THE PRESIDENT OF THE ACADEMY OF SCIENCES OF MONGOLIA, MR. DEMBEREL SODNOMSAMBUU PARTICIPATED IN THE SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY CONFERENCE OF THE CTBTO

A Mongolian delegation led by Mr. Demberel Sodnomsambuu, President of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences, participated in the Science and Technology Conference of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO). Mr. Demberel Sodnomsambuu spoke as a panelist in the plenary meeting of the Conference and emphasized the importance of a comprehensive ban on nuclear testing, including the monitoring stations operating in Mongolia.

Mongolia acceded to the Treaty in 1996, and the Executive Secretary of the CTBTO Mr. Robert Floyd visited Mongolia in October 2024.
