MONGOLIA EXPECTS TO HOST A REGIONAL TRAINING COURSE OF THE COMPREHENSIVE NUCLEAR-TEST-BAN TREATY ORGANIZATION IN 2026
A Mongolian delegation led by Mr. Demberel Sodnomsambuu, President of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences, met with the Chief of the Capacity Building and Training Section of the Preparatory Technical Secretariat of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO) to discuss a regional training course scheduled to be held in Mongolia in 2026. The course aims to strengthen the capacity of national data centers in Southeast Asia, the Pacific, and the Far East regions. Researchers and experts from member states in these regions are expected to participate.
2026 marks the 30th anniversary of the signing of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty, and Mongolia was one of the first countries to sign it.
