Official Visit of H.E. Mr. Gordan Grlić Radman, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia, to Mongolia
At the invitation of H.E. Ms.Battsetseg Batmunkh, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, H.E. Mr. Gordan Grlić Radman, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia, is paying an official visit to Mongolia from 17 to 19 July 2025.
This visit marks the first official visit to Mongolia by a Croatian Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, signifying a historic milestone in the bilateral relationship between Mongolia and Croatia.
During the visit, the two Foreign Ministers held official talks, during which they discussed ways to deepen and expand bilateral relations and cooperation. Particular emphasis was placed on enhancing collaboration in the areas of trade and economy, tourism, education, and culture.
Minister Battsetseg Batmunkh presented Mongolia’s long-term development policy priorities and strategic objectives, including the “One Billion Trees” national campaign and the “Mission-2100” scholarship program, and explored opportunities for partnership with Croatia in their implementation.
The two sides emphasized the importance of strengthening multilateral cooperation to address pressing global challenges such as climate change, desertification, land degradation, and food security, and agreed to intensify joint efforts in these areas.
Both parties reaffirmed their mutual commitment to strengthening people-to-people exchanges, particularly through enhanced educational cooperation and reciprocal scholarship programs for students, as a foundation for long-term bilateral ties.
In the framework of the visit, the following bilateral documents were signed:

Agreement between the Government of Mongolia and the Government of the Republic of Croatia on the International Transport of Goods and Passengers by Road

Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia on Bilateral Cooperation

Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Forestry Sector between the Forest Agency of Mongolia and "Croatian Forests" Ltd.

Memorandum of Understanding between the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Croatian Chamber of Economy
As part of the visit, H.E. Mr. Gordan Grlić Radman also paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr.Gombojav Zandanshatar, Prime Minister of Mongolia.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Gombojav Zandanshatar emphasized that Croatia is an important “third neighbor” and strategic partner in Europe. He expressed Mongolia’s strong interest in furthering mutually beneficial cooperation across various sectors and welcomed the recent growth in bilateral relations. He noted the significance of the signed documents as a concrete step toward enhancing cooperation.
Minister Grlić Radman expressed his appreciation for the warm hospitality and reaffirmed Croatia’s commitment to developing relations with Mongolia in all areas of mutual interest.
Additionally, representatives of the Croatian delegation held productive meetings with officials from the Forest Agency of Mongolia and the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, during which they discussed potential areas of cooperation and exchanged views on advancing bilateral relations.
